A substitute teacher in Arizona was arrested on April 8, 2015 for allegedly exposing himself to children while he was away from school and not on the job.
Andrew Lemke, 22, confessed to flashing children at least 20 times in 16 different locations around Gilbert, yet the accused pervert continued teaching children in the East Valley area, authorities said.
The suspect lives with his mother and was arrested at their home. When cops arrived, Lemke answered and immediately confessed, telling them he’s the one and he did it.
Lemke said he wanted to commit suicide because he felt so guilty about his crimes. In fact, police found evidence Lemke tried to harm himself by lighting his hair on fire before they arrived.
As for his crimes, Lemke confessed to pulling down his shorts in front of three children who were riding bikes near an elementary school as a prank to scare the kids. Later, he said there were 20 incidents that he pulled down his shorts in front of young kids over the past two years.
According to police, one victim said Lemke flashed her and then told her to “come here.” When she didn’t, he cursed at her.
Gilbert police say Lemke was a substitute teacher with several East Valley school districts. He has since been dismissed.
