John Posey had an excuse for urinating on the carpet and merchandise at an Arkansas Radio Shack: “I had to pee bad,” he told cops.
The 65-year-old man was arrested in November 2014 for relieving himself inside the store in Paragould, Ark, according to police. The suspect “smelled of intoxicants” and had his zipper undone when police confronted him. Posey first denied peeing but after his arrest for public intoxication, he confessed.
A police officer asked Posey why he didn’t ask to use Radio Shack’s bathroom, but the man answered, “Stores usually won’t let you… so I didn’t ask.”
An employee of the store told authorities that the man did about $800 in damages. In addition to soiled carpet tiles, the urine also was found on boxes containing TVs and audio equipment.
Posey was also charged with criminal mischief and was booked into the Greene County jail on the misdemeanor counts.
