Alabama police caught a thief following a high-speed chase in which the suspect threw chainsaws and other stolen tools at the cop.

According to Demopolis Police, an officer was patrolling on Jan. 8 when he heard an alarm at a John Deere dealership. He saw a white van leaving the store at a high rate of speed and chased it at speeds approaching 100 mph.
The people inside the van tossed chainsaws and  other tools at the officer from the fleeing vehicle. The chase continued into  Selma and ended after the suspects drove through two yards and two fences.
The suspects ran from the van but they caught 57-year-old Audre Jerome Hendon of Birmingham. Officers discovered the van was stolen and had been used in other crimes in Alabama.
