A Delaware music teacher sent more than 11,000 sexual text messages to a 13-year-old student in one of her middle-school classes, authorities said.
Nicole Veneroso got caught when the boy’s mother looked on the boy’s phone and saw the 32-year-old teacher in raunchy photos and videos sent to the boy. The mother turned them over to the Appoquinimink School District, which is near Philadelphia.
The boy told a classmate that he had “phone sex” with his teacher, received topless photos of her and texted with her almost nightly. One of the photos showed they had kissed at least once.
The school district fired her on the same day she was arrested by Delaware State Police.
Among the 11,650 text messages found between Veneroso and the boy was a text where the teacher reminded the boy to delete their messages.
Veneroso faces charges of dealing in child porn, sexual solicitation of a child, criminal solicitation, providing obscenity to a child, sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust and endangering the welfare of a child.
