The California man whose “hot” mugshot went viral in 2014 has been released from prison, allowing him to start a modeling career based on that crime photo.
Jeremy Meeks was released in early March 2016 after serving time for gun possession. He was arrested during a gang sweep June 18, and the felon had a loaded .45-caliber pistol on him.
His mugshot was posted to the Stockton Police Department’s Facebook page, where the post racked up more than 100,000 likes. The 30-year-old convict’s striking blue eyes and handsome appearance generated lots of attention, including agents and modeling agency. He prepped for it by doing 500 sit-ups and push-ups in his prison cell every day.
When he finished his prison sentence on March 9, 2016, he got started quickly. He’s received calls from top designers eager to book him. Meeks already has an “official” Instagram page (jmeeksofficial), which has already generated 230,000 followers.
