Las Vegas Male Revue Members Beat Down Armed Robber

LAS VEGAS, NV (Early March 2014) —

An as yet unidentified man who tried to make off with costumes and props used by the all-male revue Thunder From Down Under was subdued by the muscle-bound cast members.

The thief, only known as John Doe, went backstage at the Excalibur Hotel in Vegas holding a .44 caliber Magnum handgun. He wanted the nifty costumes used by the members of Thunder From Down Under, an Australian male dance troupe based in Vegas that has been wowing mostly female audiences since 1991.

A tussle ensued, a shot rang out, and six of the buff members tackled and subdued the man until security arrived, local authorities said.

The suspect, who appears to be in his 20s, told police a name but they are not buying it. He was booked into Clark County Jail as “John Doe.”

“Doe” is facing charges on felony attempted murder, armed robbery, and burglary with a weapon. He could get decades in prison if convicted. excalibur-hotel-thunder
