New Jersey Man Asks Computer Technician for Help Moving Child Porn

A New Jersey man was arrested for child pornography after he asked a Microsoft Store for help moving the files to a new computer.

A computer technician viewed the “disturbing” child pornography on the man’s laptop and notified a store manager who turned the device over to police.

Authorities say 25-year-old Jiemin Li instructed the service technicians to repair the laptop and transfer over the files, which including the child porn video. He said to label the video “important documents” and move them to a new laptop.

When the Jersey City man returned to pick up the laptop on Dec. 21, 2015 he was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.

Authorities say the man is living in the United States on a student visa. Immigration and naturalization authorities and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security were notified of Li’s arrest.
