A New Jersey man called in a bomb threat to a Trenton courthouse to avoid court, authorities said.

Jermaine McCain told cops he “had things to do” which apparently conflicted with his scheduled court appearance on Sept. 17, 2015.

He was caught Tuesday Sept. 23, 2015 following a high-speed chase throughout Bucks County, Pa.

He is accused of dialing 911 in Trenton and threatening to detonate an explosive at the courthouse in Mercer County.  Sheriff’s investigators later linked the fake threat to McCain and found he was evading police.

Officers with the fugitive unit found McCain in Bucks County when the chase ensued. He wrecked into police vehicles and was taken into custody, authorities said.

McCain was charged with making a false public alarm and placing a 911 call without actual emergency in Mercer County.
