A Florida shoplifter who dashed from a store with her friend and her friend’s baby had no shame after her arrest.

Edquenesha Bass was confronted outside jail by a TV reporter, but the young woman was not participating in the interview: “Why are you all in my business? That’s what I want to know. Everybody commits a crime. So, get out of my face.”

The 22-year-old Sanford woman made the unfortunate mistake of stealing items from a Party City store on Sept. 18, 2015 while a retired cop was shopping at the same time.

Spike Hopkins, who had just retired from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, saw the woman steal and chased her out of the store as she ran with her friend and the baby.

The officer and his wife took pictures of the woman’s car and called 911. Officers let the mom and her baby go and only arrested Bass on a shoplifting charge.
