MILLVALE, Ohio (June 2, 2014) — A 33-year-old Millvale, Ohio, man was taken into custody June 2 after reportedly causing a panic at his child’s Kindergarten graduation when he attacked another man.
Raymond Walker, who turned himself in a few days later, has been charged with assault and inducing a panic.
Around 11:30 a.m. on June 2, Walker was at the Mt. Healthy North Elementary School along with 20 other parents and about 150 kindergartners munching on punch and cookies when he assaulted a man he knew from the neighborhood.
“The assault did induce a panic during the assembly, causing several in attendance to be pushed,” said Springfield Township police. “The school was placed on lockdown and then eventually evacuated.”
Walker left the school before authorities arrived but turned himself in later.
Not surprisingly, this is not the first time Walker has busted some laws. Authorities say he served nine months in a state prison in 2004 after fleeing police, running a stop sign, and wrecking into a tree. He seriously injured a female passenger. He has also been arrested for theft, being in a park after hours, and drug abuse.
