A sex offender wanted for failure to register was captured after falling through the ceiling of a West Virginia house that police were searching.
Henry Cutler, a 24-year-old Pennsylvania sex offender, was arrested on January 22, 2015 during a search at a home in Weirton, W.V. US Marshals got information about where he was hiding and went to the home.
Officers heard noise coming from the attic and headed up the stairs. Suddenly, the suspect fell through the ceiling right near the cops, who quickly grabbed him.
Officials in Pennsylvania say they were getting tips that Cutler had fled to Ohio or Virginia. He had previously pleaded guilty to having inappropriate sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl back in 2009, along with separate identity theft charges.
During a check in November by Clearfield police, he was found not to be living at the address on file, police said. If convicted on the new charge, he faces at least 5 years in prison.
