Talk about embarrassing your hubby.
The wife of a sheriff in North Carolina was recently arrested for larceny after allegedly altering prices at the Belk store in Randolph County.
Sandra Reid, 56, of Asheboro, was serving as a lieutenant with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office when the arrest occurred, and she has stepped down from her post as a result of the charge.
Authorities say she was busted at Four Seasons Mall for misdemeanor larceny by price substitution by the Greensboro Police Department. After the arrest, Reid was banned from all stores by the company.
According to media reports, Reid met her husband, Sheriff Maynard Reid, while working under former sheriff Litchard Hurley.
