Shoplifting Selfie Suspect Wears Stolen Dress in Facebook Photo

WEST FRANKFORT, Illinois (July 18, 2014 arrest) —Danielle Saxton
An Illinois ended who posted a photo wearing a stolen leopard dress on her Facebook page was caught by her stupidity, according to authorities.
Danielle Saxton, 27, of West Frankfort, Ill., is accused of shoplifting from a downtown boutique in mid-July. After the crime, she had the nerve to post pictures of herself wearing the shoplifted outfit, police said. The photos spread like wildfire on Facebook and led local cops right to her.
“What she stole was a very distinct leopard dress,” store co-owner Kert Williams told ABC affiliate WSIL TV. “(She stole) a dress, a couple shirts, some jewelry, couple items like that,” Williams said.
The store official reviewed video from store surveillance and posted about the theft on Facebook. Because of the woman’s Facebook account, other users realized she was the shoplifter and ratted her out.
Even dumber for the woman, the background of the photo helped police pinpoint where she was at, according to authorities.
The woman was still had the clothes in her hand when cops arrived. She had only been handcuffed for a few minuted when police realized she was wanted on another warrant in Jackson County.
And the punchline to the story: Saxton has since removed the photos from her Facebook page. Which is a little too late.
